Elvin and his wife, Antoinette, have been living in Tortuguero for over 20 years. "Primo", as Elvin is known by
all, was born and raised in Parismina one hour south from Tortuguero. He has been fishing professionally in the area for over
20 years.
Because Tortuguero has both ocean and rivers, you can fish for ocean
fish in the morning and river fish in the afternoon. Here are some of the fish you are likely to encounter here:
Ocean: tarpon, snook, snapper, jack, baracuda, king fish, grouper
and mackerel.
River: guapote (rainbow bass), moharra, cara seca (snook family),
machaca, snook, and sometimes tarpon.
Our boat, "Eagle Wings", comes equipped with fishfinder, GPS,
three cushioned swivel seats, 85hpm, and we always bring our cell phone with us to maintain communication with other boats
and our home base.

|
Our new boat, "White Dove", is finished! White Dove is a 21 ft Yamaha fiber glass boat with a 115 four stroke
motor and all the fixings.
| 150 lb. Tarpon |

|
| Too heavy to get into the boat! |
This was the first time out in White Dove with client, Jim Morton from New York.
We support catch and release for all tarpon. Several of the
fish here are extremely tasty, so we let the client decide if they want to keep a snook, snapper, or another local fish. Most
hotels are happy to cook it up for your dinner.
Our Mission
For Primo, fishing is a passion and a life long love.
It is an art form of finesse and beauty that changes daily. Face it, you can not use the same lures or the same tactics
when the weather has changed, or there is more fish food out there then normal. That is why it is so nice to go with Primo,
because he has the equipment and tackle to try different tactics. He is willing to go the extra mile because there is nothing
better then the wonder and the adrenaline rush that lights up the face of a happy customer.
We have clients from all over the world. Elvin speaks
both Spanish and English.
